When Michigan State and Pittsburgh play in the Peach Bowl on Thursday night in Atlanta, Mark Dantonio will be in an awkward position.

On one side are the Spartans, who Dantonio led to new heights during his 13 seasons guiding the program and are coached by Mel Tucker, a former colleague. On the other are the Panthers and head coach Pat Narduzzi, who served as Dantonio’s defensive coordinator for 11 seasons total before taking over Pittsburgh in 2015.
